Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, Die B, perforated 12½ (12f), bright shade, well centered within large margins, tied by "Mobile Ala. Jan. 3" double-ring datestamp on envelope to Col. E.H. Higley of Baker's Brigade at Spanish Fort, which was a strategic defensive placement on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, cover a trifle reduced at right, Very Fine and scarce use of this experimental perforation.
