Cleveland Box Postmarks, 1827-34, study collection of folded letters or covers comprising five different types: I (six), II (four), III (one), IV (thirteen), V (four), range of red manuscript ratings including "Free", "25", "37½", "40", "1½oz .75", "$1.00", 1827 with red framed "Paid" handstamp (earliest recorded example); an interesting group with several exceptional strikes.

A description of the types are: I (all caps) 1826-29, II (upper and lower case in large type, "C" and "O" almost round) 1829-31, IIa (month in italics) March 1830, III (upper and lower case, large type, "C" and "O" oval) 1831, IV (upper and lower case in small type) 1831-34 and V (upper and lower case in smaller type with modern spelling of Cleveland) Dec. 1833 - Apr. 1834. There are nine recorded type III and eighteen recorded type V usages outside of archives.
