Guam, Agana, Guam (8), straightline handstamp in bold capital letters tying 10¢ brown type I, block of ten, matching "Apr 20 1901" datestamp, on registered envelope to Germany (6.6) via Manila (5.2), showing "Agana/Guam" circular handstamp with "R.503" inserted by hand, vertical filing folds (one crosses two stamps). Fine franking at 1 dollar.

This straightline "Agana, Guam" handstamp was the last Naval post office cancellation used during this period. Guam's post office was turned over to civilian control on March 29, 1901, which was situated in Government House in Agana. The above cover was mailed under the civilian postal administration.
