Lot 18

/o/

Unusual Collection of Stamps and Covers, 1854-1929, balance of a small, mainly mint collection on handmade pages assembled by a collector with somewhat limited means but with excellent taste. Almost nothing is worth more than $200 or so, but everything is fresh and virtually all F-VF or better, with nearly all of the stamps being NH (though a few are regummed). The collection is mounted with very few stamps to the page and the covers usually correlate to the stamp on the page. Starts with Locals (used Blood's entire 15LU6A, Wells-Fargo unused 143L3, 143L8 and used 143L9) and runs through Parcel Post with blocks, plate blocks and proofs scattered throughout. A few highlights include NH #285-88, 296, 343-47 plate blocks, 524, 565-73, C3-6, O15, O19, O74, O79, O88, PR81 and QE1-4 plate blocks. A definite must-see lot.
