1801 (Aug. 16) St. Clairsville, manuscript postmark with matching "17" on a folded letter addressed to Capt. Samuel Vance, Commander Fort Washington in Cincinnati, endorsed "Mail". Fine, an extremely rare and early use of this postmark.
