1857, 12¢ black, plate I (36), used with 1¢ blue (24) straddle margin and 3¢ dull red (26), all tied by New Orleans c.d.s. on small green cover to France, red "New York 'Paid 12' Feb 22" exchange c.d.s. tied 3¢ and 12¢ French (3.9.59) entry c.d.s., reverse with Paris (3.10) transits, a Very Fine and attractive three-color franking paying the 1¢ carrier fee plus 15¢ treaty rate.
