1847, 5¢ Color Study (1 var.), mounted color study with 17 single stamps (two unused) and 3 covers including chocolate, orange brown, dark brown, black brown, dark reddish brown (unused), reddish brown, orange (Scott red orange), brownish orange (single and cover notated by Ammonette), deep brownish orange (right sheet margin) and dark brownish orange (upper left corner margin), all singles identified with colors listed by Chase, Ridgeway and Scott but have not been expertised, so the lot sold as is, some faults, a Fine to Very Fine study.
