1851, 1¢ blue, type II (7), spectacular mint single with absolutely enormous margins showing large portions of adjacent stamps on three sides and a partial sheet margin on the fourth, bright fresh color and paper, a strong impression allowing all of the intricacies of the design to show clearly, full, fresh, lightly hinged original gum. A truly Superb gem. SMQ $9,700 for 98, unpriced in Gem 100.
