Lot 1357
1852, 1¢ blue, type IV (9), a spectacular "single" with large margins top and bottom (with both adjacent stamps visible) and literally half of the adjacent stamps at left and right, beautifully tied to small piece by large Trappe, Md. c.d.s. Wonderfully fresh and truly Superb, hinged onto piece after being removed to check condition—which is flawless; would surely rate at least a 98J. Scott $130
Expertization: 2008 P.S.E. Certificate issued prior to the stamp being removed from piece.
