1857, 3¢ dull red, type III (26), right sheet margin single with part-imprint and plate "No. 2(?)", tied on piece by neat "Charleston, S.C./Paid, Mar 2, 1860" c.d.s., plate theoretically identified by penciled "27" to right of stamp. Very Fine. Used plate number pieces are quite rare.
