Gregory's/ Express/ Marysville, three-line handstamp in blue with matching "Paid" in double-line oval, on 1852 folded letter to Sacramento, docketing indicates letter was from John Sutter of Gold Rush fame writing from Hock Farm and addressed in his hand, Very Fine. Includes a transcript of the original letter & photocopy of Sutter's signature from the last page.
