State Dept., 1881 Special Printing, 1¢ yellow green, overprinted "Specimen", soft paper (O57xSD), group of four from the 4th printing, each with different bold letters in the overprint, group comprises both "E"s bold; "P" and both "E"s bold; first "E" only bold; "P" & 2nd "E" bold; without gum as issued, last with small tear and crease, otherwise F.-V.F.
