Lot 4190

Hawaii, U.S. 1898, 5¢ dark blue (281), single tied by cork cancel on all-over flag patriotic from Fort Bragg Cal. to Honolulu, May 9, 1899 accidently sent to New York, forwarded back to San Francisco and finally backstamped Honolulu Jun 21, but held there until Apr. 20, 1900, then readdressed to Port Townsend, Wash.; stamp with corner nick, cover with small edge flaws, Fine, unusual and possibly unique usage. One explanation for the misdirection may be the odd address, which confusingly consists of three names and what looks like "Honolluby".
