1851-56 Issue Cover Collection, 13 mounted and written-up covers comprising 1¢ type IV (9), nine different usages: Carrier, Drop, Circular (with sheet margin and centerline), 2¢ Circular to Austria (1855), 3¢ Letter Rate (3 singles), 10¢ rate to Canada (1857 with 3¢ strip of 3), 10¢ rate to Mexico (plate crack, position 41R1L with 3¢ strip of 3), 21¢ rate to France by American Packet (1855, with pair of 10¢ type II), 5¢ rate to France by British Packet (1855, pair with 3¢ single); balance consists of two faulty 1¢ type IIIa (8A) with a 3¢ to India; a 3¢ single domestic rate; a 10¢ type II (14), California to Maine (1857) and a 12¢ black (17) pair to England (1855); all were intended to show usages so most bear stamps with fewer than four margins, though the covers are genrally clean and F-VF. A useful lot.
