1882, 6¢ deep brown red, re-engraved (208a), two singles, each with beautiful color, tied by large grid cancel on cover to New Haven Ct., purple "Boston, Mass. Registered Jun 10 1884" framed postmark; reduced slightly at right, clean and Very Fine, the 2¢ letter rate plus 10¢ registry fee.

The red brown ¢ shade was from the late 1883-84 printing and is exceedingly scarce on cover due to small printing and rate change.
