[To Spain] 1870, 6¢ carmine (148), used with 2¢ red brown (146), tied by NYFM grids (Weiss TR-G21) on folded cover to Madrid, Spain at double the 4¢ British open mail rate, reverse with "New York Transit Aug 10" cds and red "London AU 22 71" transits, red "8.R" due h.s. for inland postage; couple pinholes, a Very Fine use.
