Typed letter signed as president, 7" x 9" on White House stationery, November 30, 1932, writing to Earle S. Kinsley, Republican National Committeeman, after his loss to Roosevelt, in part "I wish to convey to you my appreciation of your effective leadership in the campaign, — a campaign against great odds. The election result should, I believe, be taken not as a discouragement to the Republican Party but rather as a challenge to continued zealous and aggressive work in behalf of its sound and enduring principles."
