Revenue, 1862-71 First Issue, $1.90 Foreign Exchange, imperf (R80a), used on a Foreigh Exchange check for £3000 Sterling drawn on the Bank of Commerce in New York, Dec 15, 1863; the stamp, which has little to no margins, is canceled by a matching handstamped oval with an manuscript day of "12/15"; printed on somewhat brittle onionskin paper, there is some ink erosion and slight separation along one vertical fold; nonetheless, an attractive and very rare usage of the imperf $1.90 Foreign Exchange.
