1861, 5¢ buff (67), single well tied by target, matching "New-York Mar. 4" double circle, on 1862 folded letter to Pictou, Nova Scotia, clear "8d" struck at center with manuscript. ship endorsement, "Steamer Niagara" at upper left, vertical file fold opposite stamp has been internally reinforced, stamp itself with a minute tear at top, Fine appearance, very scarce.
