Registered Jul 15, 1915" c.d.s., making this the Earliest Documented Use of the $1 Franklin; to the Federal Reserve Agent in San Francisco from the Comptroller of the Currency, stamps tied by Washington dateless ovals and traces of orange red crayon, handstamped "In care U.S. Subtreasury" at lower left, light; Fine. A rare legitimate commercial usage of these high values. Scott value for #423 on cover is $7,000.
