Germany & German Area, 1849-1990, massive collection in three Scott Specialty albums; as is the norm in this man's collection, the 19th century (States, etc.) is scattered and insignificant in value, but the 20th, as is also the norm, is very impressive, being highly complete mint with a large majority being NH. Pre-World War II semi-postals lack only the Wagner and Ten-Year sheet, Post-War Federal Republic is complete and Berlin is missing only the red Berlin overprints; as for DDR, it's complete (Marx sheets only perforated) and apparently all NH; Colonies catalog over $5,000 and the Saar includes #139-154, B16-22, B30-36 & B44-46, and the Flood Relief sheets, all NH; Danzig & Memel are equally impressive. A tremendous lot with lots of little surprises scattered throughout.
