1781 Detroit Land Deed while still part of Quebec Province, by Robert Navarré (1739-1791). Early Detroit merchant; DS, 2pp, folio, "Detroit in the Province of Quebec", March 31, 1781. Transfers from Navarré as "Guardian to the heirs of the late Jacques St. Martin" 320 acres of land on the "North side of the River Detroit" The land was sold to Alexander McComb (father of General Alexander McComb (1782-1841), commanding general of the United States Army, 1828-1841), his brother William McComb and WilliamEdgar, all Detroit area merchants and land speculators. A very early Detroit document signed during the Revolutionary War .
