1859, 10¢ green, type V (35), four singles including left straddle-pane copy, used with two 1¢ blue type V and a 3¢ dull red (24, 26) on an 1860 legal size cover from Boston to Paris, France, stamps tied by large "Paid" grids, scarce red "Boston 9, Jul. 13 Paid" exchange exchange office c.d.s. and ultramarine Le Havre entry postmark, reverse with "Boston Am. Pkt. Jul. 13" c.d.s. and Paris receivers; 10¢ stamps with small faults, cover with small piece out at top left and minor edge tears, otherwise complete, Fine and rare; triple the 15¢ per ¼oz. rate.

Adriatic on her 3rd voyage for the short-lived North Atlantic Steamship Co., which completed only six round trips between April and November of 1860 before ceasing operations in 1861.
