Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ blue, Archer & Daly printing (7), four-margin horizontal pair tied on cover to Jackson Miss. by "Tuscaloosa Ala., Apr 9" c.d.s. with "Due/10" and "Charge/Box" in shield handstamps, the latter marking to indicate that the 10¢ due for the overweight letter would be charged to the box of the addressee; flap fault, Very Fine. The cover is accompanied by an article from the Confederate Philatelist by M. Clinton McGee, in which McGee speculates as to which town applied which marking, his best guess being that both markings were applied in Jackson.
