Danish West Indies, 1877 (Aug. 17) St. Thomas to Vera Cruz, Mexico, folded cover bearing G.B. 3d rose, pair and two singles, tied by two strikes of St. Thomas "C51" duplexes, blue Willink Co. merchants oval; vertical file fold affects one single, a Very Fine appearing triple weight use.

The British Post Office closed on August 30, 1877. This cover was carried on the R.M.S. "Ebro", which was the last trip of the Royal Mail Steamship Company before the office closing. D.W.I. entered the U.P.U. on September 1, 1877.
