Danish West Indies, 1878 St. Croix to Warren, Oh. via New York, bearing purple "Forwarded by Roche Bro's & Co., St. Croix" forwarder's oval on reverse, entered U.S. mails with "New York Aug 7 '78" and "Ship Letter Due 4 Cts" duplex struck incorrectly (crossed out in pencil), updated in pencil and "Due 6 Cts" duplex struck adjacent, the 4¢ rate was to port and the 6¢ rate beyond, Very Fine and interesting.
