Canada, 1857, Queen Victoria, ½d rose (Unitrade 8), strip of three, pair and single, first two having been pre-cut for separation (into right stamp of pair), mainly large margins except strip and pair barely touched at one point, and 1852, 3d red (4, S.G. No. 5) with large margins showing portion of adjoining stamps at bottom, tied by target cancellations on 1858 envelope to New York City, flap with embossed hardware merchant's cachet, of which tiny piece at far right is missing, showing "Montreal U.C., DE 20 1858" origin c.d.s. and unframed curved "Paid" handstamp in red adjacent, a Very Fine and appealing multiple franking to make up the 6 pence rate to the U.S.A. Scott 8.
