Canada, 1852, Beaver, 3d red, hard ribbed paper (Unitrade 4iii), horizontal strip of three with three huge margins, close at top but clear, used together with 1857 ½p rose (8), vertical pair with four large margins, slight natural pre-printing crease, both tied by neat strikes of squared grid cancels on a small blue cover to England, "Toronto U.C., AU 16 '58" c.d.s., bold strike of red "Pkt. Letter Paid, Liverpool, AU 28 1858" tombstone transit, Mansfield (8.29) arrival backstamp, attractive red embossed seal of the "Department of Public Instruction" on the backflap; Very Fine.
