Canada, 1859, Queen Victoria, 12½¢ yellow green (Unitrade 18), horizontal strip of five, deep rich color, tied by neat strikes of concentric rings on 1861 folded cover to England, partial "Grafton C.W., NO '61" c.d.s., reverse with Montreal transit, red London (11.25) arrival c.d.s.; cover tear and some light creasing affecting one stamp, Fine and rare use. This was carried on the Allan Line's
Anglo-Saxon leaving Quebec City on November 9 and arriving Liverpool on November 25.

There were no provisions for ½oz. rates after the first ounce. There were frequent violations of this provision as shown by this 2½ ounce cover.
