Canada, 1868, Large Queen, ½¢ black (21, iii, iv (6)), well centered block of 10, positions 61-65/71-75, pos. 63 being the best example of the "chignon variety", the six middle stamps all showing the "spur in scroll left of 'H'"; never hinged original gum but all but the upper left have slight disturbance; small tear lower right stam, short perfs at bottom, otherwise F.-V.F. Unitrade C$1,800 as VF singles ($1,350).
