Three Wedges (Weiss TR-W unlisted), two bold strikes tie two 6¢ carmine (148) singles on 1872 folded cover to London, England, endorsed "pr Wisconsin", red "New York Oct 2" exchange c.d.s. also ties top stamp (some flaws), red London (10/15) arrival c.d.s., Fine.

THE ONLY RECORDED STRIKE IN BLACK OUT OF FIVE RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THIS UNLISTED THREE-BLADED KILLER.

This is the only recorded example of this killer in black, the other four covers are in red and sent by supplementary mail. This was carried on the Guion Line "Wisconsin" arrived at Liverpool on October 14, 1872.
