Negative Square in Circle (Weiss TR-M1), strong strike ties 6¢ carmine (148) together with 10¢ brown (150), on clean 1873 folded letter from New York City to Ariane, France, bold red "New York 'Paid 12' Mar 6" c.d.s., endorsed per "Silesia", red London Paid (3.17.73) transit and matching small "PD" oval handstamp, numerous transit and arrival postmarks on reverse including Ariane (3.20) arrival, couple of trivial bends to stamps, Very Fine and choice.
