Lot 3053
Lincoln "Rail Splitter" Campaign Lettersheet and Envelope, three-page letter on illustrated Baker lettersheet datelined West Pitsfield [sic] (Mass.), Oct 21 (c. 1861] and unused Magee envelope with similar illustration; chatty family letter doesn't mention Lincoln (though it does mention the Prince of Wales passing through town), but a note added to blank fourth page by a friend of the sender ends with "I dont know whether this sheet of paper represents Maria's [sender] politics or not — but I hope before four years are passed all will like old Abhram [sic] better than now." Very Fine. Scott AL-126. Estimate $150 - 200
