A REMARKABLE LINCOLN MOURNING COVER USED ONLY THREE DAYS AFTER LINCOLN'S DEATH.

This design used a crudely rendered version of the 1863 Matthew Brady photograph taken at Gettysburg, Pa. Abraham Lincoln died on April 14, this envelope is perhaps the earliest mourning cover use.
