1867, 15¢ black, F. grill (98), bright color, possibly a double grill but cannot be verified without lifting, used with 1¢ ultramarine (134) and 6¢ carmine (137), tied by circle of wedges cancels on 1870 Davis correspondence cover to Lima, Peru, red "New York 12 Sep 5" credit datestamp, 1870 Lima receiving backstamp; sealed cover tears at top, still Very Fine and colorful mixed-issue franking paying the 22¢ rate to Peru effective March 1870, One of only two recorded 1866 15¢ & 1870 6¢ Lincoln mixed issue frankings.
