1857, 1¢ blue, type III (21), a very well centered and incredibly fresh, fine example of its type, with the characteristic breaks at top and bottom being quite clear; marvelous color, exceptionally bright paper and full, very lightly hinged original gum; a choice, Very Fine to Extremely Fine Gem.
