Transit, Nov 7" exchange office c.d.s. on reverse, red "32" credit, red London PAID transit c.d.s. (20 Nov) with manuscript "1", backstamped "Hong Kong Marine Sorter, Singapore to Hong Kong" c.d.s. (Dec 25), Hong Kong c.d.s. (Jan 2), and Yokohama (Jan 13); Fine-Very Fine. The 42¢ British Mail rate to Japan via Marseilles was introduced at the beginning of 1868.
