1847, 5¢ grayish brown, double transfer Type E (1a-E), the "Mower shift," large to huge margins with portion of frame line of adjacent stamp at top, choice color, fine impression, tied by light red grid cancel, matching "Providence RI Jan 20" c.d.s. and numeral "5" at right, to gray 1848 folded letter to New Bedford Mass, light file fold not affecting stamp or markings, choice Very Fine.
