1908, 2¢ carmine Foreign entry of 1¢ design (332 var.), average centering as are most of the dozen or so recorded used examples, intense shade. Small thin and light creases, not mentioned on accompanying certificate. Fine appearance.

The reason for the scarcity of this variety is the fact that only one of the 8,000+ positions on the 200+ plates used to print these 2 cent stamps featured the erasure of the 1 cent design.
