1857, 3¢ dull red, type III, imperf vertically (26b), position 50R27, sheet margin at right, with imprint and plate no. (2)7, imperforate between stamp and selvage and at left. Sock-on-nose c.d.s., strong color. Small tear at top and small thin spot at lower left. Choice Very Fine appearance.
