1847, 5¢ red brown, double transfer Type A (1-A), position 80R1, large to huge margins, with portion of adjacent stamp at top, gorgeous color, close to orange brown, sharp impression, allowing the doubling of the top frame line to be quite clear. Neat bright red sock-on-nose grid cancel. Choice, Very Fine, lovely example of this desirable double transfer.
