THIS IS ONE OF TWO CERTIFIED EXAMPLES OF THE RARE GRAY PAPER VARIEY WITHOUT GRILL, AND THE ONLY ONE ON COVER, THE OTHER BEING AN ON PIECE STRIP OF THREE.

Expertization: 1991 P.F. Certificate.

The Scott Catalogue states in the same footnote referenced in the previous lot that "the 114a used on gray paper (is)…unique" citing the above mentioned strip of three as the unique example. Once again, we have no idea why this was missed, and the editors have been informed of this omission as well.
