1851, 12¢ black, diagonal bisect (17a), tied by perfectly struck "STEAM/ SHIP" handstamp on undated folded cover to Fishkill N.Y. with incomplete strike boxed "VIA NICARAGUA/ AHEAD OF THE MAILS"; bisect with small faults. Fine.

Though cut diagonally, it is not the typical corner-to-corner bisect, but closer to a vertical cut, which we do not believe exists.
