Grover Cleveland (1837-1908), 22nd and 24th President of the United States (1885-1889 (1893-1897), Governor of New York, autograph letter signed "Grover Cleveland" as Governor of New York, two pages on two adjoining sheets 4½" x 7½", Executive Chamber stationery April 14, 1883, very personable letter to a constituent thanking her for naming her son after him "Grover". He then adds "I feel it more important than ever to behave myself in such a way as to not cast discredit on his name" reinforced folds, fine.
