Kennedy (1917-1963), 35th President of the United States (1961-1963), Assassinated, Congressman and Senator from Massachusetts, typed letter signed "Jack Kennedy" as Senator, one page 8" x 9", U.S. Senate letterhead, June 17, 1959, writing to a history teacher concerning voting on Sundays. Kennedy concludes with, "Furthermore, a recommendation for a change to Sundays would probably raise some religious controversy, though I realize that Sabbatarianism is no longer as powerful a movement as it once was." Framed with engraved portrait to 20" x 16", Fine.
