1858, 5¢ brick red, type I (27), near perfect centering within large margins and perfs clear on all sides, handsome rich color with a clear impression, cancelled by black town c.d.s. and red transit datestamp, bright and fresh; filled thin and single short perf at right (not mentioned on P.F.C.), an Extremely Fine appearing and very attractive example. Expertization: 1988 P.F. as top stamp in strip of three (filled thin mentioned as bottom stamp) and 2007 P.S.E. certificate graded VG 50 due to faults.
