1860, 24¢ gray (37a), exceedingly well centered with a clear strike of "Mobile Ala. May 13, 1861" c.d.s. from the Confederate period, fresh color; tiny corner crease at upper right, not mentioned in certificate, still Extremely Fine. A rare and quite remarkable Confederate usage.
