1851, 3¢ orange brown, type II (10A), position 4R2E, deep color with four margins showing part sheet margin at top, tied by circular grid cancellation on 1851 letter to Oregon, Ill., black "Pekin Il. Sep 14" c.d.s., the letter was written by David Davis, an associate of Abraham Lincoln, Very Fine.
