1851-57 3¢ dull red plate study (11/11A), group of eight singles from each of the different plates utilized for the printing of the #11 issue comprising plates 1L, 2L, 3, 4, 5L, 6, 7, 8, each is hinged on a separate 4 x 6" card for each plate (plates 6 & 7 on one) with distinguishing characteristics and color shades listed, mostly four margined examples with a few clear or touched on one corner, a Fine to Very Fine study.
